Dr. Daniel Fortino is a Board Certified Periodontist and obtained his Specialty Degree in Periodontics and a Masters in Science from the Centre for Advanced Dental Education in St Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Fortino is the staff surgeon who completes full mouth reconstructive cases and restoring patients with dental implants. He joined the Department of Periodontics at the School of Dental Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo as a part-time faculty member and is currently on staff at the Graduate Periodontics Clinic.
In 2017, he achieved Diplomate status from the American Board of Periodontology; a distinction given to a periodontist who has undertaken requirements and examination beyond mandatory educational requirements of the specialty. Dr. Fortino holds a dual license both in the United States and Canada.
Dr. Fortino grew up in the Hamilton (Ancaster) area and completed his undergraduate education at McMaster University in 2010, earning a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) Degree graduating with distinction. He then continued his education at the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry where he completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2014. He received the Oral Pathology and Periodontics award upon graduation.
Dr. Fortino has been published on topics relating to peri-implantitis, advanced dental implant placement, sinus grafting and the treatment of periodontal disease with SmartMouth Rinse.
