Dr. Joseph Fortino's journey in dentistry is deeply rooted in the Hamilton area, where he spent his formative years. Having earned his undergraduate degree in Health Sciences at McMaster University and pursued his doctor of Dental Surgery Degree at the University of Western Ontario, Dr. Fortino has been dedicated to serving the Hamilton community throughout his career. As he continues to grow his roots in his hometown, he remains thrilled to offer his expertise in patient care to the community that holds a special place in his heart.

Understanding the unique trust placed in him, Dr. Fortino values each patient relationship immensely. He believes in empowering patients to make informed decisions about their oral health and takes the time to educate and guide them through various treatment options. With a commitment to detail and an innate sense of aesthetics, Dr. Fortino approaches every procedure with a touch of artistry.

Dr. Fortino's skills extend beyond general dentistry, with additional training in Orthodontics (Invisalign), proficiency in Oral Surgery, Endodontics, and Implant Dentistry. Recognizing the importance of patient comfort, he also provides General Anesthesia for all ages that may feel anxious about dental treatments. Dr. Fortino has developed a keen interest in Botox therapy, particularly its application in alleviating symptoms related to TMJ and bruxism (grinding).

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Fortino leads a vibrant life. With a passion for music, he plays the piano and is a prolific songwriter, having recorded numerous songs. His love for an active lifestyle is evident in his participation in various sports, hiking, running, and regular gym sessions. With fluency in Italian, Dr. Fortino originates from a sizable Italian family. In November 2017, he achieved a distinct milestone by successfully completing the recording of his inaugural album, "Today." This musical endeavor not only highlighted his individual talents but also showcased the harmonious collaboration with his family.
